Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Deer Park, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.

Work on the Contract is for the construction of a prefabricated 8-foot wide by 108-foot length steel pedestrian bridge with concrete bridge deck, concrete bridge abutment, concrete drill shafts, concrete retaining walls, concrete sidewalk, bridge rub rails and pedestrian handrails. Work includes obtaining necessary permits from Deer Park and other jurisdictional entities, government and non-governmental with oversight on this project, e.g. Harris County Flood Control District, CenterPoint Energy, AT&T, Verizon and others. Cashier's check, certified check, or bidder's bond, satisfactory to the City Council, payable to the City for at least 10% of the largest possible total for the bid submitted must accompany each bid as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract and execute performance and payment bonds within ten (10) days after the notice of award of contract to him. The requirement for a performance and payment bond will be waived if the successful bidder's total bid amount on the project is under $100,000.00, and if no partial payment will be required. This will be a "Best Value" competitive bidding method, meaning, factors other than just cost, will be considered including work history and qualifications. The City reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals, or parts of Proposals to waive any and all technicalities, and to accept any Proposal, or part of Proposal, which it deems advantageous to itself. Contracts for work under the proposal will obligate the contractors and subcontractors not to discriminate in the employment practices. The deadline to ask questions is 10/30/2024 5:00 PM CST
