Responses to questions will be communicated out to vendors via site. The Iowa DOT is seeking competitive bids for a roof replacement at the Marshalltown Maintenance Garage. The project consists of removing existing EPDM roof membrane and insulation, including downspouts and collector heads and replacing with new vapor barrier, insulation, cover board and EPDM membrane, downspouts and collector heads as per the attached specifications and drawings. All lines on the Line Items Tab are tied. Bidders must bid on every line to be compliant. Award will be based on Contractor's response to the Base Bid on Line 1 of the Line Item Tab. Work to be done during regular working hours and days M - F 7:00 to 3:30 or coordinated with on-site DOT staff. Site location: 1308 Iowa Ave. Marshalltown, IA 50158 Estimated project start date: 8/1/24 Estimated completion date: 6/30/25 Award: It is the intent of the Iowa DOT to award the contract to the responsible contractor whose submitted quote is the most advantageous to the Iowa DOT, cost and other factors considered. Other factors include, but are not limited to: meeting or exceeding mandatory requirements, proposed staffing, and meeting required time schedule. Other factors may also include a comprehensive review of bidders past work performance, and work capacity.
