The work under this contract includes the supply of all labour, supervision, materials and equipment to perform all work in accordance with the terms of reference. The work includes cleaning and sealing joints in PCC paved surfaces as identified in these Terms of Reference or as directed by the airport authority representative or their designate. This may include all of any of the following tasks: a) Sawing and sealing cracks in PCC Paved Surfaces on airside operational areas; and b) Removing old joint sealant, clearing the existing joints, and installing new material and sealing PCC joints, including new Backer Rod. The successful contractor shall be responsible for Sealant manufacturers proper heating methods, pavement preparation procedures, application geometry, usage precautions and safety procedures. The Airport Representative or their designate will inform the successful Contractor of the estimated quantities based on maps of identified areas provided by the Airport Authority Representative, following an on-site review. For 2024, this area is estimated to be 2,200 lineal meters. The Contractor is obligated, as applicable, to adhere to the provisions outlined the Accessible Canada Act and the Canadian Transportation Agency Accessible Transportation for Persons with Disabilities Regulations and the Official Languages Act.
