Renovation of a multi-residential development in Toronto, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a multi-residential development.
This project is a deep energy retrofit of 101 townhouse units at the Scarlettwoods Development (2-83 Scarlettwood Court and 60-78 Waterton Road). The retrofit will pilot the Energiesprong model, and includes prefabricated building envelope upgrades, replacement of natural gas district heating with air sourced heat pumps, and installation of energy recovery ventilation in tenant suites. The project will result in estimated GHG and energy reductions of 94 percent and 88 percent respectively. TIMELINE: A Request for Proposals (RFP) from consultants has been awarded; Enska office taking the lead has yet to be confirmed. The proposed Project will be conducted utilizing an Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) approach, with all primary Project partners and parties being retained under a multi-party agreement, the CCDC-30-2018 Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) Contract. The Project partners and parties will consist of a self-assembled team composed of the successful Proponent, Toronto Community Housing Corporation (TCHC), qualified architects, engineers, contractors, and trades needed to deliver the Project (the IPD Team).
