Reference Number 0000272555 Question Acceptance Deadline 2024/07/11 02:00:00 PM EDT Western University (Western) is inviting Subcontractors and Suppliers to submit Statement of Qualifications. The Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ) document sets out the requirements for the proponent's submission and specifies the evaluation criteria and contractor prequalification process. This prequalification is the first of 2 phases, which involves assessing the qualifications of potential subcontractors or suppliers. This phase is conducted through a Request for Statement of Qualifications (RFSQ), during which Subcontractors and Suppliers are evaluated for their qualifications. If the Proponents are deemed qualified during the RFSQ phase, the second phase will be the Request for Tender (RFT). In this phase, qualified Proponents are invited to submit detailed tenders or proposals for the project or contract being procured. This project is an opportunity to support the Universitys strategic vision and enrichment of the student experience. Western is planning to construct a new residence building to address the growing undergraduate and graduate student population. The project site of the proposed Platt's Lane New Residence is shown below in Figure 1, bounded by Western Road to the north and Platt's Lane to the west. The proposed building is 6/5 storeys, plus a basement, with an overall area of 203,000 SF. The majority of space is allocated for apartment style suites, each containing a kitchen. The suite dimensions vary to accommodate studio-style, 1-bedroom, and 2-bedroom units. A total of 203 suites (139,374 SF) are proposed for the new building. Additional building amenity spaces (central laundry room, study/lounge rooms, community room, reception, mailroom, bike storage) and exterior siteworks (parking lot redevelopment, waste bins, landscaping). A geothermal system is envisioned for this development to support the building's heating and cooling load. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.merx.com
