Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Brewster, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

For furnishing the Reconstruction of Millstone Road which consists of roadway milling and resurfacing, full depth pavement reconstruction, drainage improvements and sidewalk construction along Millstone Road and related work. Each Bid Must Be Accompanied by a Bid Security Consisting of a Bid Bond, Cash, or, Certified Check Issued by a Responsible Bank or Trust Company in the Amount of 5% of the Bid Price. A Performance Bond in an Amount Equal to 100 Percent of the Total Amount of the Contract Price With a Surety Company Qualified to Do Business in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Will Be Required for the Faithful Performance of the Contract, as Well as a Labor and Materials Bond in an Amount Equal to 100 Percent of the Total Contract Price. Each prospective bidder proposing to bid on this project must be prequalified by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) in accordance with 720 CR 5.00 Prequalification of Contractors. The work is expected to be substantially completed by December 31, 2025 with final completion no later than May 15, 2026. The Bidder further agrees to pay as liquidated damages the sum of ($1,000.00) Dollars for each consecutive calendar day thereafter that the work is not complete as provided in the contract. The Town reserves the right to waive any informalities, to accept or reject, in whole or in part any or all bids, or take whatever other action may be deemed to be in the best interest of the Town. The work under this Contract consists of drainage structure installation, roadway milling and resurfacing, full depth pavement reconstruction, HMA sidewalk and cement concrete pedestrian curb ramp construction along Millstone Road in the Town of Brewster between Route 6A and Route 137. New Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon Systems (RRFBs) are proposed at the midblock crossings near Lund Farm Way, Fern Lane, and the Cape Cod Rail Trail. The work includes unclassified excavation, standard milling, hot mix asphalt overlay, full depth pavement reconstruction, sidewalk construction, drainage improvements, granite curb, pavement markings, signs, wall construction, landscaping, and other incidental work. All work under this contract shall be done in conformance with the 2024 Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, the Supplmental Specifications contained in this book, the 2017 Construction Standard Details, the Traffic Management Plans and Detail Drawings, the 1990 Standard Drawings for Signs and Supports; the 2015 Overhead Signal Structure and Foundation Standard Drawings, the 2009 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) with Massachusetts Amendments; the 1968 Standard Drawings for Traffic Signals and Highway Lighting; The American Standard for Nursery Stock; the Plans and these Special Provisions.
