North Street Pedestian Improvements. Work includes: the construction of new concrete pedestrian curb ramps, hot mix asphalt driveways and sidewalk, granite curb, minor drainage alterations, tree removal and protection, removal and resetting of stone walls, pavement markings and other incidental work. Contractor Qualification Highway Division Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The work under this Contract consists of constructing pedestrian improvements, including new sidewalk and pedestrian curb ramps, along one side of North Street in Grafton. The project limits are from the existing sidewalk on Stonegate Circle to the intersection of Old Westboro Road and North Street. The work includes the construction of new cement concrete pedestrian curb ramps and sidewalk, hot mix asphalt driveways, granite curb, minor drainage alterations, tree removal and protection, removal and resetting of stone walls, pavement markings and other incidental work. All work under this Contract shall be done in conformance with the 2024 Standard Specifications for Highways and Bridges, the 2017 Construction Standard Details, the Traffic Management Plans and Detail Drawings, MassDOT Work Zone Safety Temporary Traffic Control, the 1990 Standard Drawings for Signs and Supports; the 2015 Overhead Signal Structure and Foundation Standard Drawings, the 2009 Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) with Revisions 1, 2, and 3 and the November 2022 Massachusetts Amendments to the MUTCD; the 1968 Standard Drawings for Traffic Signals and Highway Lighting; The American Standard for Nursery Stock; the Plans and these Special Provisions. The General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions and Special Provisions shall take precedence over the General Requirements of Division I of the Standard Specifications.
