Lake County Pocket Park Upgrades The work consists of removal and replacement of existing playground surfacing with new poured-in-place safety surfacing with underdrain system; furnish and install new accessible swing; and associated restoration work COMPLETION DATE: Construction work shall be started by August 15, 2024 and substantially completed by November 30, 2024 Bidders shall be properly and completely executed on bid forms contained in the Contract Documents. No bidder may withdraw his proposal for a period of 60 days following the date set for receiving bids Lake County reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 60 days and said bids shall remain in full force and effect during said time. Lake County further reserves the right to waive informalities and to award the contract to any Bidder all to the advantage of the County or to reject any and all bids BID SECURITY: Each bid shall be accompanied by an acceptable certified check or bid bond payable to the Lake County, Indiana in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid price executed by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana. Each bidder must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, sex or national origin. This project is being funded in part by the Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Lake County Community Economic Development Department. The remaining portion of the project shall be funded through local funds. Total available funds for FY 2024 to Lake County for this project equal $75,000, which represents approximately 50% of the estimated cost of the project.
