The City of Malibu, California is requesting proposals from qualified firms to provide annual street sweeping services for all of the City's public streets and on Pacific Coast Highway, within the City limits. Work to be performed under this contract consists of the removal of debris from all the City's public streets, portions of Pacific Coast Highway, City Hall parking lot, and other areas as directed. The street sweeping work shall be consistent with the standards set forth by the American Public Works Associations general street sweeping practices. All streets shall be free of litter, sand, gravel, dirt, and vegetation debris. Intersections and cross gutters shall be generally free of any debris buildup. Removal of debris shall mean all material normally picked up by a mechanical sweeper such as sand, dirt, gravel, leaves, grass clippings, paper, cans, and other such materials within the street. Removal shall also include large items such as large stones, tree limbs, wood, and other such materials in the areas to be swept that can be picked up and put into the sweeper by one person. All questions regarding the RFQ/RFP must be submitted in writing.
