GTL 27 Building Awning Replacement Contractor, to provide quotes for the demolition of an existing awning, obtain permits, and design and build a replacement awning of similar dimensions for the City's Public Works Department, in accordance with the terms, conditions, and specifications contained in this Invitation To Bid (ITB). This Project is located at George T. Lohmeyer Wastewater Treatment Plant, 1765 SE 18th St., in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The Awning can be suspended or supported from the bottom. The material shall be powder coated steel or anodized aluminum. The color shall be "Military Blue", and the supports shall be "Warm Sun" or "Military Blue". This Project shall be permitted and approved for use in High Velocity Hurricane Zones (HVHZ) and designed to meet the Florida Building Code. The work includes, but is not limited to: Removal of approximately 900 square feet of L-shaped rusted metal awning and support pillars. The construction of a new L-shaped, 900 square foot awning, 8' at the highest point, new support pillars. Construction of the awning from aluminum with a pitch to allow for drainage. Debris Removal Furnish all materials, labor, and equipment. Licensing Requirements: Possession of a State of Florida Certified General Contractor License, or Any other State or County License(s), Certification(s) or Registration(s) deemed legally permissible by the City to conduct the nature of the work required in this solicitation.
