Site work and new construction of an industrial development in Bismarck, North Dakota. Completed plans call for the construction of a industrial development; and for site work for a industrial development.

The City of Bismarck (City) Public Works Service Operations is accepting written proposals for the construction of a cold storage building located at Fire Station 4, 4103 Miriam Drive, Bismarck ND. In accordance with North Dakota state law, a separate envelope containing a current North Dakota contractor's license must be attached to the proposal/bid envelope and labeled "Contractor's License." An application for a North Dakota contractor's license is not sufficient to fulfill this requirement. All work shall be complete by November 1, 2024. The City shall reserve the right to hold all bids for a period of sixty (60) days, to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities or to accept such as may be determined to be for the best interest of the City of Bismarck. However, bids which do not comply with mandatory requirements imposed by law or late bids must be rejected. The City of Bismarck (City) Public Works Service Operations is accepting written proposals for the construction of a cold storage building located at 4103 Miriam Dr, Bismarck ND. Written proposals shall address the firm's experience and ability to perform the defined services in a timely manner. Proposals shall address the brand names of all material proposed to be used, along with the product specifications so the proposals can be evaluated accordingly. Written proposals shall be limited to a maximum of 20 single-sided or 10 double-sided pages on standard letter (8- 1/2X11) paper. The below specifications are not intended to be all inclusive, rather minimum requirements that must be adhered to when proposing on this project. Many other components will be needed in order to complete the project. Building o Must be a licensed contractor in the State of North Dakota. o Must show prior experience constructing similar projects. o Construct a 32' X 48' Cold Storage Building at 4103 Miriam Dr, Bismarck ND. o Strip sod and topsoil. Disposal of sod and topsoil is the contractor's responsibility. o Furnish and haul in fill dirt to bring site up to grade. Note, there is an elevation difference of approximately 2' from the NW corner of the proposed building to the SE corner of the proposed building. Contractor to verify grades before bidding. o Fill dirt must be clean and free of any rocks and organic matter. o Fill dirt must be adequately compacted to ensure that there is zero settlement after placement of the foundation and building. o Fill dirt must have a 4:1 slope around the perimeter of the building. 6" of topsoil must be placed on top of the fill dirt around the perimeter on the North, West and South sides. o Concrete Foundation shall be a Thickened Slab Foundation with a minimum of 1' X 1' thickened edge with a 1:1 slope angling back up to the bottom of the concrete floor. o Foundation shall be a minimum of 6" above the finished grade. o Thickened edge shall be reinforced with a total of 4 - 1/2 " Grade 60 rebar around the entire perimeter of the foundation, two shall be placed 4" from the bottom of the footing at 4" anfrom the side, and the other two placed 8" from the bottom of the footing at 4" and 8" from the side and tied to the rebar which will be placed in the concrete floor. o Concrete floor shall be 5 1/2 inch thick concrete troweled smooth, reinforced with 1/2 " Grade 60 rebar placed 18" on center, at approximately the center of the slab. o All concrete shall be 4,000 PSI concrete, free of any shale. o Concrete Apron shall be 32' X 10' with a broom finish, 5 1/2 inches thick and reinforced with 1/2 Grade 60 rebar spaced 18" on center and tied to the building foundation every 4' with 1/2 inch grade 60 rebar at least 4' in length. o All concrete shall be sealed with a clear professional grade sealer.
