Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in West Orange, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a fire / police facility; parking garage; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

*Bidders must obtain documents from owner.* The project will generally consist of the reconstruction of the pavement at the rear and front of the building, with the construction of two additional parking spaces. Also included is the construction of a walkway to provide accessible access to the Pleasant Valley Way entrance to the building. Other work includes construction of a new trench drain an inlet with a connection to the existing stormwater drainage system as well as other related improvements. The project includes replacement of sidewalks and aprons along the majority of the property frontage. An additional $20.00 non-refundable fee will be required in advance for all prospective Bidders requesting that the bidding documents be mailed. There is no additional charge should a prospective Bidder request the documents be forwarded by UPS/FedEx (using the Bidder's own account number). Bidders are notified that they must comply with the New Jersey Prevailing Wage Act (Chapter 150 of the Laws of 1963, as amended) and that award will not be made to any bidder whom the Commissioner of Labor and Industry does not certify. Bids shall be submitted on the forms provided, in the manner designated therein and required by the Specifications. They must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond in the form provided of not less than 10% of the amount of bid. Said check or bid bond may not be less than $500 nor shall it be more than $20,000 and must be accompanied by a Consent of Surety statement in the form provided from a Surety Company stating that the Surety Company will provide the bidder with a bond for 100% of the Contract amount in the event that the Contract is awarded to the bidder. A Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Record of Recent Contract Awards must also accompany the proposal on the forms provided. Proposal Forms Shall Not Be Removed From the Form of Proposal. Proposals Must Be Made Upon the Blank Forms Provided and Submitted in the Bound Book, Which Shall Be Left Whole and Intact in Every Respect. Bidders must have at the time of bid, a Business Registration Certificate issued by the New Jersey Department of Treasury. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et seq. and NJAC 17:27 for an affirmative action program for equal employment opportunity. Bidders are required to have a current Public Works Contractors Registration in accordance with NJSA 34:11-56.48 If awarded a contract, your company/firm will be required to comply with the requirements of NJSA 10:5-31 et seq. and NJAC 17:27. Bidders must also comply with the requirements of PL 1977, Chapter 33 amending the Local Public Contracts Law. Bidders must submit a statement setting forth the names and addresses of all the stockholders in the corporation or members of the partnership who own ten percent (10%) or more of its stock, or have a ten percent (10%) or greater interest in the case of partnership. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the opening of bids. A Contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder or all proposals will be rejected within sixty (60) days after the opening of bids. The Mayor and Township Council of the Township of West Orange reserves the right to reject all bids, to reject unbalanced bids, and to waive any informality in any bid. The right is hereby reserved to reject any and all bids or any part thereof or to waive any minor informalities or irregularities, to reject unbalanced bids, and to accept any bid or bids if deemed in the best interest of the Township of West Orange to do so.
