The purpose of this Project is to construct miscellaneous improvements to the degasifiers and the chemical storage system at the City's Water Treatment Plant including, but not limited to, installation of two motor-operated valves, drain piping, a new Zinc Orthophosphate bulk storage tank, replacement of the prefabricated enclosure for chemical day tanks, and ancillary controls and instrumentation Question Deadline July 30, 2024, at 1:00 PM All questions, comments, or concerns about this ITB must be submitted in writing to Mr. Peter Boers, Procurement- Finance Department, for the City of Venice, Room 204, 401 West Venice Avenue, Venice, FL 34285 or e-mail at pboers@venicefl.gov. Mr. Boers is the only designated representative of the City authorized to respond to comments, questions, and concerns Bids must be submitted in four sets and at least one set must bear an original signature, in a sealed envelope marked "Invitation to Bid # 3166-24: "WATER TREATMENT PLANT DEGASIFIER AND CHEMICAL STORAGE IMPROVEMENTS BID" and mailed No bid will be received after the specified time for acceptance and no bidder may withdraw his bid within a period of ninety (90) days after the actual date of opening thereof. Bids will be considered only from bidders who have the applicable license, if a license is required by the City of Venice and/or State of Florida, for the type of work specified. A copy of the applicable license must be submitted with bid if a license is required. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids in whole or in part, with or without cause, to waive any requirements, irregularities or technical defects therein, when it is deemed to be in the interest of the City.
