Holly Hills Road CONTRACT ITEMS The principal items of work under this contract are: o 1770 tons - Granular Material o 2692 tons - Hot Mix Asphalt o 2448 gallons - Emulsified Asphalt o 102 cubic yards - Coarse Aggregate Cover Material o 5588 square yards - Roadbed Reclamation The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any and all bids, Each bidder must deposit with his bid, security in the amount, for and subject to the conditions provided in the Notice and Instructions to Bidders. Bidders must comply with Section 3, of the HUD ACT of 1968, the Davis-Bacon Act, the Anti-Kickback Act, the Contract Work Hours and Safety Standards Act, and the President's Executive Order No. 11246. All bids submitted in excess of $50,000 by a prime or subcontractor to do erection, building, construction, repair, maintenance, or related work, on public projects must comply with Section 31-3-21, Mississippi Code of 1972, must have a "Certificate of Responsibility" license. Where applicable, the foregoing certificate number and license number must be indicated on the exterior of the sealed bid envelope before it can be opened. The work to be performed under this contract is subject to the requirements of Section 3 of the Housing and Urban Development Act of 1968, as amended 12U.S.C. 1701u (Section 3). CDBG regulations governing the grant require that, to the greatest extent feasible, opportunities for contracting, subcontracting, training and employment arising in connection with this CDBG project will be extended to Section 3 businesses and Section 3 residents. Minority and women's business enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs.
