Concrete Repair on Main Headtank The following descriptions delineate the Work, materials, and how measurements of completed Work will be made and paid for, for each bid item in the Bid Schedule. The Bidder is to read these definitions and price their proposal accordingly. Bid Item 1 - Mobilization This bid item includes the mobilization of personnel, equipment and supplies at the project site in preparation for the Work, as well as the establishment and maintenance for the duration of the Contract of the Contractor's sanitary facilities, protective fencing and barricades not included elsewhere, necessary facilities, and all other costs incurred or labor and operations which must be performed prior to beginning the other items under the Contract. This item shall include any costs for required bonding of this project. This item shall also include marshalling, disassembly and security of all items indicated on the Construction Drawings or Specifications or installed as part of mobilization and demobilization from the site. Payment will be made in two installments: the first 60% will be paid on the first month's pay estimate, and the remaining 40% after the final cleanup has been completed and approved. Bid Item 2 - Stair Tread - Remove Existing Coating and Recoat This bid item includes all labor, materials, equipment, and submittals to remove existing coating and recoat the stair treads on the exterior metal staircase to the second floor. The unit price for this bid item shall include, but is not limited to, surface preparation to remove existing coatings and apply a new coating to all surfaces of the stair treads. Progress payments will be made based on a percentage of the completed work, at the lump sum bid price. Bid Item 3 - Remove and Repair Concrete Around Louvers This bid item includes all labor, materials, equipment, and submittals to remove and repair exterior surface concrete around the louvers at the locations shown on the plans. The unit price for this bid item shall include, but is not limited to, surface preparation to remove unsound concrete, apply a corrosion inhibitor or concrete repair bonding agent, and rebuild the deteriorated concrete. Measurement and payment for this bid item will be by each louver repaired. Bid Item 4 - Structural Crack Injection Repair at Corners of Building This bid item includes all labor, materials, equipment, and submittals for structural crack injection repair at the building corners. The unit price for this bid item shall include, but is not limited to, surface preparation utilizing injection ports, sealing the mechanically prepared cracks, and injecting epoxy resin adhesive into the ports. Measurement and payment for this bid item will be by linear feet of crack repaired. Bid Item 5 - Crack Injection - Exterior Concrete Cracks with Active Water This bid item includes all labor, materials, equipment, and submittals for sealing vertical and horizontal cracks showing water seeping through pores or thin cracks in the concrete. The unit price for this bid item shall include, but is not limited to, surface preparation including injecting a hydrophilic polyurethane grout through holes drilled into the wall to intercept the crack. Measurement and payment for this bid item will be by linear feet of crack repaired. Bid Item 6 - Low Viscosity Resin - Exterior Concrete Shrinkage Cracks This bid item includes all labor, materials, equipment, and submittals for repairing shrinkage cracks on the exterior surface of the walls. The unit price for this bid item shall include, but is not limited to, surface preparation utilizing a low-viscosity resin by gravity filling. Measurement and payment for this bid item will be by linear feet of crack repaired. Bid Item 7 - Exterior Surface Concrete Repair This bid item includes all labor, materials, equipment, and submittals to remove and repair unsound concrete on the exterior wall surfaces. The unit price for this bid item shall include, but is not limited to, surface preparation to remove unsound concrete, apply a corrosion inhibitor or concrete repair bonding agent, and rebuild the deteriorated concrete. Measurement and payment for this bid item will be by square feet of surface repaired. Bid Item 8 - Exterior Surface Coating System This bid item includes all labor, materials, equipment, and submittals to prepare the exterior concrete surface and recoat the exterior wall surfaces. The unit price for this bid item shall include, but is not limited to, surface preparation, apply a primer, and install a topcoat.
