OKLAHOMA BOROUGH 2024 PAVING The scope of work for Contract No. 24-R01 includes 3 Depth Milling/Profiling, 19mm, Superpave WMA Binder (leveling) course, 0 to 0.3 million design ESALs (2" depth); 1" depth 9.5mm Superpave WMA wearing course, 0 to 0.3 million design ESALs, SRL-H; base repair; adjustment of manholes to grade; adjustment of valve boxes to grade, maintenance and protection of traffic, restoration, and all necessary appurtenances and restoration for said construction. All work shall be constructed according to the Contract Drawings and Specifications which are on file at the office of the Owner and Senate Civil Engineers and Surveyors. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid, made payable to the Borough of Oklahoma to guarantee the bidders entrance into the contract if given the award. The Borough of Oklahoma reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Attention is directed to the fact that procurement is subject to all requirements of the Pennsylvania Steel Products Procurement Act, Act No. 1978-3; and for Contract value exceeding $100,000.00, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (Act of 1961 P.L. 987), and The Public Works Employment Verification Act (July 2012) apply. The Borough shall (a) award the construction contract to the lowest responsible bidder therefore, or (b) reject all bids received within ninety (90) days of the date of bid opening; provided, however, that the Borough may, in its sole discretion, delay such award or rejection for up to one hundred twenty (120) days from the bid opening date until the Borough has received all required approvals from other governmental agencies. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. Work to tentatively begin on June 17, 2024 and all work must be completed by August 2, 2024.
