Site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Anahuac, Texas. Completed plans call for the construction of a 20,690-square-foot, one-story above grade municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The County of Chambers County is soliciting: Sealed Bids for construction of the New County Emergency Facility located in Anahuac, Chambers County, Texas Chambers County will receive Competitive Sealed Proposals for the New County Emergency Facility CRP All sealed bid proposals must be marked on the outside of the envelope "New County Emergency Facility-CRP Grant Number #70800001001". No faxed or emailed bids will be accepted. Sealed bid proposals submitted after this time will be returned unopened. All bids must have a notarized non-collusion affidavit, or the bid proposal will not be accepted. Bids are invited for the following scope of work: Construction of a new facility consisting of approximately 20,690 total square feet, single story facility that will have 3-bays for emergency vehicles. The building structure will be concrete tilt-wall on a reinforced concrete slab supported by grade beams and piers. The conditioned space will include a training room, offices, reception area, bunk rooms, kitchen, restrooms, mechanical rooms. The building will be a fully sprinklered building. The limits of the site improvements are approximately 6-acres on a vacant tract of land that is located on the northerly side of Airport Road at 525 Airport Road, Anahuac, Chambers County, Texas. In addition to the building structure, the site will consist of approximately 116 parking spaces and concrete drives and require grading, concrete paving, on-site water, sanitary sewer and underground drainage system. The existing Water and Sanitary Sewer improvements are located within Airport Road and will be extended into the site. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with the bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to Chambers County or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. The project to be constructed will be financed with assistance from the Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs (TDHCA) under the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Community Development Block Grant CARES Act (CDBG-CV) program and is subject to all applicable Federal and State laws and regulations. Attention is called to the fact that, not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Department of Labor, and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. Adherence to the grant recipient's Section 3 Policy is required for all contracts and subcontracts. Chambers County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. Bids may be held by Chambers County for a period not to exceed 30 / 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Chambers County EMS Building will contain the central operations for the community's Emergency Medical Services. The Project is comprised of operations offices, dormitorytype residential facilities and equipment storage and maintenance operations. The single level facility's exterior is to be constructed of concrete tilt-wall construction with a slabon-grade foundation. The thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) membrane roof is supported with a system of steel columns, roof joists and metal deck.
