Description: The Town of Yarmouth, the Awarding Authority, invites sealed bids for the Emergency Generator at the Yarmouth Police Department, located at 340 Higgins Crowell Road, West Yarmouth, MA 02673, in accordance with the documents prepared by BLW Engineers, Inc. The work to be completed at the Yarmouth Police Department includes installing a new exterior diesel generator, a new automatic transfer switch, a new electric service, and removing the existing electric service. The contractor is responsible for providing all materials, labor, and equipment as specified to perform the work. Bids should be submitted in a sealed envelope with the words: Project Estimate: $164,000. The project's substantial completion date is December 27, 2024. Deadline for Written Questions 07/03/2024 By 12:00 pm Each Bid must be submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid in the form of a bid bond or certified treasurer's or cashier's check issued by a responsible bank or trust company. The Successful Bidder must furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond with a surety company acceptable to the Owner. The Town of Yarmouth reserves the right to waive any informalities in bids and to reject any or all bids or waive any formalities that appear to be in the best interest of the Town. A bid that includes an abnormally low or high amount for any item may be rejected as unbalanced.
