The Town of Yarmouth is seeking proposals from Consultant Firms that can provide leadership, direction, expert advice, and a comprehensive development study for the potential re-use of the Mattacheese Middle School and its surrounding 70-acre site. The project involves assembling a multidisciplinary Consultant team to create an effective reuse plan for the 70-acre former Mattacheese Middle School site. The consultant will combine expertise in planning, architecture, engineering, and fiscal impact to guide a study committee in exploring various reuse alternatives. The RFP aims to incorporate diverse community interests in an impartial way, focusing on areas such as economic, cultural, recreational, tourism, social, housing, parks, community centers, and education in Yarmouth. The final deliverables will include plans, profiles, and renderings, along with associated costs for engineering, permitting, design, construction, implementation, funding, and operations while considering community impacts. The contract will be awarded within 90 days. The Town reserves the right to reject any and all responses, waive informalities, and award the contract as deemed in the best interest of the Town, in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws. All technical questions must be submitted to Svetlana Salemme by email at SSalemme@yarmouth.ma.us on or before January 13, 2024, by 2:00 p.m. No technical questions will be accepted after that time.
