Renovation of a military facility in Missoula, Montana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Forest Service's Region One operates out of a three-story building in Missoula, Montana. The Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) system is equipped with Daikin model RWEYQ72PTJU (R410A) style Heat Pumps (HP). The building was renovated circa 2017. The purpose of this contract is to perform the repairs for the Units listed in the Schedule of Items as described in this section. Within the last 12 months Heat Pump 6, units 1 and 2 (HP6-1, 2) have shut down during AC use and displayed an error code of "E3" (activation of high-pressure switch) on the Daikin display monitor. For Item 0001-The contractor will o remove refrigerant charge, calculate refrigerant charge, re-charge system with recovered refrigerant and check system that the code is cleared. o If during the systems check the unit is not fully operational and additional issues are identified, the contractor will provide the COR with a detail proposal for the work need to make the additional repairs and if the government accepts the proposal, a modification will be made to the contract for the additional repairs to be completed. During heating and AC use Heat Pump 1, units 1-3 (HP1-1, 2 and 3) shut down displaying an E3 error code on the Daikin display, as-well-as, error codes "F3" (malfunction of discharge pipe temp) and "L8" (malfunction of overcurrent converter compressor). Previous trouble shooting indicated a lack of refrigerant in the system. For Item 0002-The contractor will o Leak test VRF 1-HP1-1,2, and 3), remove remaining refrigerant, repair leaks, evac system and recharge system and check system that the codes are cleared. o If during the systems check the unit is not fully operational and additional issues are identified, the contractor will provide to the COR a detail proposal for the work need to make the additional repairs and if the government accepts the proposal, a modification will be made to the contract for the additional repairs to be completed.
