Renovation of a water / sewer project in Toledo, Ohio. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The City of Toledo is seeking a contractor to construct improvements to the Alum storage and delivery system located at the Collins Part Water Treatment Plant. The work will consist of renovation of an existing building to store Alum and a new feed/mixing system. Type of Award: Lump Sum License Requirements :Contractors Liquidated Damages: $1000/day Project Duration: 18 months Bid Bond: 5.00% Payment Bond: 0.00% Performance Bond: 100.00% Prevailing Wages are required for this project. It is the obligation of a contractor or subcontractor to make payment in accordance with the prevailing wage determinations. Current prevailing wage rates may be found on the Division of Purchases and Supplies site. City forms must be filled out and submitted with the bid: Acknowledgment and Acceptance of Conditions Contract Specifications; Toledo Municipal Income Tax Compliance; Public Utilities Compliance; MBE Good Faith and Goal Commitment; EEO Form; Subcontractor List; Debarment and Suspension Certificate; Qualification Statement; Work Sequence; Unit Price Adjustment Items; and Additional documents as required. The following items will be required prior to awarding the contract: Signed Contract by Vendor CEO/President; MBE Participation form; Certificates of Insurance; Current Worker's Compensation Certificate; Court-Ordered Child Support Affidavit; Independent Contractor PERS forms; and additional Insurance as Required. Neither City nor Design Professional has any responsibility for the accuracy, completeness or sufficiency of any bid documents obtained from any source other than the source indicated in these documents. Obtaining these documents from any other source(s) may result in obtaining incomplete and inaccurate information. Obtaining these documents from any source other than directly from the source listed herein may also result in failure to receive any addenda, corrections, answered questions, or other revisions to these documents that may be issued. The Contractor and all Subcontractors will be required to conform to the labor standards and employment requirements set forth in the Contract Documents. The City of Toledo has a goal orientated MBE Program that specifies a 15.0% MBE goal in construction contracts. The State of Ohio has a goal-orientated MBE and WBE Program for this project that specifies a 3.0% MBE and 3.7% WBE goal. Achieving all or any portion of the State's goals for both MBE and WBE will be considered in evaluating compliance with the City of Toledo's goal. These goals apply to prime contracts as well as subcontracts. Bidders are expected to make a good faith effort to locate and solicit bids from MBE companies for subcontract activity. Completed forms to be submitted with the bid and forms to be completed and submitted within five (5) business days after City advises apparent low bidder of the recommendation of the bidder are outlined in the Instructions to Bidders. Any Bid may be withdrawn prior to the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids, but no Bidder shall withdraw their Bid within 90 days after the actual opening thereof. Owner Rights: City reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, waive irregularities in any Bid, and to accept any Bid that is deemed most favorable to City.
