The Project Includes the Following Work: Base Bid O Perform Approximately 20,000 Cuyd of Unclassified Excavation O Perform Removals and Incidental Work to Prepare the Site O Furnish and Install Approximately 8,000 Cuyd of Contractor Furnished Borrow O Furnish and Install Approximately 700 Lf of Corrugated Metal Pipe O Furnish and Install Approximately 200 Lf of Reinforced Concrete Pipe O Furnish and Install Approximately 9,500 Tons of Base Course Aggregate O Furnish and Install Erosion and Sediment Control O Furnish and Install Traffic Control O All Restoration and All Other Miscellaneous Work Required Not Herein Mentioned, but Inferred From the Construction Contract Documents Bid Alternative a O Furnish and Install Approximately 45,000 Sy of Woven Separator Fabric O Furnish and Install Approximately 13,500 Tons of Base Course Aggregate Bid Alternative B O Furnish and Install Approximately 7,000 Cuyd of Contractor Furnished Borrow O Furnish and Install Approximately 355,000 Sf of Cement Treated Subgrade O Furnish and Install Approximately 1250 Tons of Portland Cement Upon Request, in Accordance With South Dakota Codified Law 5-18b-1, One Paper Copy of Bidding Documents Shall Be Furnished, Without Charge, to Each Prime Contractor Resident in South Dakota Who Intends, in Good Faith, to Submit a Bid to the Owner. Additionally, if a Paper Copy is Provided Under the Conditions of Sdcl 5-18b-1, in Consideration of the Documents Being Provided at No Charge, Unsuccessful Bidders Agree to Return the Documents to the Issuing Office Within Thirty (30) Days After the Bid Opening. All Official Notifications, Addenda, and Other Bidding Documents Will Be Offered Only Through the Designated Websites. Instructions to Bidders. For All Further Requirements Regarding Bid Submittal, Qualifications, Procedures, and Contract Award, Refer to the Instructions to Bidders That Are Included in the Bidding Documents. Project Information This report presents the results of the recent geotechnical exploration program for the proposed road improvements on 176 th Street between SD Highway 81 and 453 rd Avenue in Codington County, South Dakota. Scope of Services Our work was performed in accordance with the authorization of Waylon Blasius with Banner Associates. The scope of work as presented in this report is limited to the following: 1. To perform 14 test borings to gather data on the subsurface conditions for the project. 2. To perform laboratory tests that include moisture content, dry density and standard Proctor. 3. To prepare an engineering report that includes the results of the field and laboratory tests as well as our geotechnical engineering opinions and recommendations regarding the following: Existing gravel surfacing; where applicable; Subgrade strength; Subgrade preparation options; Pavement section thicknesses; Comments regarding factors that may impact the constructability and final performance of the project; Quality control observations and testing. The scope of our work was intended for geotechnical purposes only. This scope of work did not include determining the presence or extent of environmental contamination at the site or to characterize the site relative to wetlands status Site Location & Description The site is the roadway of 176 th Street between SD Highway 81 and 453 rd Avenue in Codington County, South Dakota. The existing road is gravel surfaced. Ditches are located on the north and south side of the road. A site location map (Figure 1) is attached and shows the relative location of the site. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
