The City of Hickory Hills (City) is requesting proposals for boiler replacements and water
heaters at 6 senior apartment buildings. The addresses of the buildings are:
o 7804-7808 W. 89th Place o 7805-7809 W. 89th Street
o 7812-7816 W. 89th Place o 7815-7819 W. 89th Street
o 7820-7824 W. 89th Place o 7821-7827 W. 89th Street
The project consists of furnishing material and labor to complete each installation with a high efficiency gas fired water boiler with 2 indirect domestic water heaters. The successful
contractor will be required to furnish an acceptable certificate of insurance and adhere to all applicable laws. Work must be completed by August 30th 2024. The project will consist of draining, removing and disposing of current boilers and water heaters. Set and install water boilers and water heaters, reconnect gas and water piping,
all necessary electrical, reconnecting of zone controls, venting and intake piping. Fill and test system. The proposal shall include call out of boiler and hot water tank. The boiler shall be High Efficiency Model# IBCVX199-95% EFF or equivalent. And two 55-gallon waters heaters with
circulation pumps and all necessary controls and piping or equivalent. These buildings are senior living residences, hot water supply must be back working in same day at each building. The contractor shall work closely with office and hours of operation The Contractor requirements are as follows:
o The Contractor will be required to pay not less than the prevailing wage rates on this project as established by the State of Illinois Department of Labor.
o The Contractor agrees to meet or exceed a 10% goal that apprentices will perform 10% of the total labor hours actually worked in each prevailing wage classification as specified in the Illinois Works Apprenticeship program.
o The Contractor shall follow the Build America, Buy America Act and all manufactured products used in the project are produced in the United States. Invoices must be submitted to this department and payments will be made within 30 days of receipt and approval. Certified payrolls and waivers of lien will be required to be
submitted at the end of the project. The contractor should make a lump sum proposal to perform the above work. Only written proposals will be considered. No bid bond is required. The City reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive any informalities or technicalities, and to accept the proposal which best serves the interests of the City. The City shall, in its sole discretion, determine what does or does not constitute an informality or technicality, and, in submitting this proposal, the proposer agrees to be bound by that determination.
