The work can be generally described as the complete demolition of approximately 255,946 square feet of World War II era wood construction (5 each 2-story barracks & 2 each single-story Dinning Facilities or DFAC), plus 6 each underground ammunition storage bunkers [igloo type] totaling 4,400 square feet at Ft. Barfoot, Blackstone, Virginia. The work is considered to be non-capital construction. Bids not received by the bid officer prior to the listed time and date SHALL be considered non-responsive and marked as "LATE." A Bid Bond is required. No other forms of security, including certified checks, will be accepted.
