Demolition and renovation of a military facility in Blackstone, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a military facility; and for the renovation of a military facility.
The general work description of the project can be generally described as: Demolition of all suggested items to include flooring, tile, decking, steps, etc. Interior construction including the installation of new sub flooring, tile, deck replacement with rails, floor painting with approved items, etc. Questions will be due NLT 4:00PM on July 8, 2024 by email to edward.s.newcomb.nfg@army.mil Time for Completion is 90 calendar days to Substantial completion. Final Completion shall be within 30 days after the date of Substantial completion. A. Section Includes: 1. Demolishing designated building materials and fixtures. 2. Demolishing designated construction. 3. Protecting items designated to remain. 4. Removing demolished materials. 5. Cutting and Patching Demolition Schedule: Indicate overall schedule and interruptions required for utility and building services. Ft. Barfoot is inviting your company to participate in bidding on the following project intended for 1 building in the 2200 area. This project will consist of the below listed renovations in 1 building. Below are the intended renovations that will be expected to be performed within this project. Contractor shall provide submittals for all replacement equipment for approval prior to performing the task. Demo: Remove all tile. Remove all underlayment. Remove all floor trim. Remove threshold and retain. Remove deck and steps on the rear of the building. Remove the handrails on the porch on the west side of the building. Note: Contractor shall review recycle worthy demo products with owner before disposal. Construction: Make repairs to subfloor if necessary. (Up to 100 SqFt in allowance), Unit price required per square foot for repair. - Bid Form Install moisture barrier in areas to be retiled. Install new 1/4 inch underlayment material suggested by flooring manufacturer over moisture, barrier and properly secure. Install new VCT (vinyl composition tile) per manufacturers suggested installation procedures. Ex: Armstrong Premium VCT; Premium Excelon Stonetex; Gravel Blue 52126,1/8" thick. Utilize flooring manufacturer suggested adhesive product for installation. Install new floor molding, caulk all nail holes and paint matching existing trim. Reinstall thresholds and caulk. Build new rear porch and steps to include railing. Lumber should be Grade 1 Pressure treated. Replace handrails on west side porch with Grade 1 Pressure treated lumber. Painting: Prep, prime and paint all walls in the dining area. (1 Primer coat and 2 finish coats) Paint all porches and steps with color matching Pre-Cat epoxy; eggshell finish paint. Clean, scrape and make minor repairs to the kitchen walls. Paint all walls in the kitchen with a Pre-Cat epoxy; eggshell finish paint to match existing paint scheme. Kitchen floor: Clean and fill all cracks in the floor with a two part epoxy floor patch material. Apply two coats of concrete sealant to the kitchen floor. Electrical: Replace all lights in the kitchen and storage areas with 4-foot LED lights. Lights shall be designed for use in a commercial kitchen and should be similar in appearance to existing.
