Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Blackstone, Virginia. Completed plans call for site work for a military facility; road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Repair the pavement overrun section at the Northeast end of the runway for the Blackstone Army Airfield located in Blackstone, Virginia Work Location: Blackstone Army Airfield located in Blackstone, Virginia Repair the pavement overrun section at the Northeast end of the runway for the Blackstone Army Airfield located in Blackstone, Virginia. The current pavement has deteriorated and has raised in some areas. This pavement section is determined by plans to have a 2" surface mix of asphalt atop of 12" of stone aggregate. The section of pavement is 175 feet by 150 feet and has an area with 6 pedestal lights that will require milling around and asphalted. The quote should bid the milling and replacement of the 2" asphalt surface, compacting of underlayment of stone, and acquire a level tie to the runway. Asphalt shall be no less than a 1% slope for acceptable water discharge.
