The description and location of the project are as follows: Is for the construction of a 1.6-mile shared use path with asphalt and stone surfacing including a trailhead facility and bridge superstructure replacement. Trail and trailhead construction will involve the excavation of railbed material, placement of subbase and surfacing, establishment of seeding and mulching on topsoil, and fabrication of fences and signs. Superstructure replacement will consist of the removal of steel girders and two sets of steel pile piers, reconstructed concrete beam seats, repointing of stone masonry, and erection of a prefabricated truss.
