Project Name: Phase 2 Expansion Questions: Deadline for submittal of questions is July 22, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. All questions shall be submitted in writing to: Brad Sorensen, SLCMAD Representative, Email: brad@slcmad.org ,Robert Czubak, Project Manager, Email: rjc@mocasystems.com Greg Beecher, Project Architect, Email: greg.beecher@mhtn.com SLC Mosquito Abatement District and MHTN Architects have designed phase 2 of their facilities to be built on the property housing their current facility. Phase 2 includes construction of a Hangar, Helipad, a Testing Laboratory Building, Supporting Structures / Equipment and other related work. The successful Contractor will be engaged to construct the new facilities as designed by MHTN Architects, incorporating architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and site improvements. The successful Contractor's work will include all services necessary to bring the project to fruition The Owner has a large parcel of land located at 2215 North 2200 West, Salt Lake City, UT 84116 and intends to construct their west half of their property. The Owner engaged MHTN Architects on 30 May 2023, to design the new facilities which includes a Hangar and Heliport a Testing Laboratories Building and Supporting Structures, and related work. MHTN is working on the 100% Construction Documents / Bid Documents which are due on 19 June 2024. The successful Contractor will be engaged to construct the new facilities as designed by MHTN Architects, incorporating architectural, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical and site improvements. The successful Contractor's work will include all services necessary to bring the project to fruition. B. As part of the contractor's services, the Contractor shall be required to coordinate with a preengineered / pre-fabricated steel manufacturer for the provision of design work pertaining to the construction of the hangar building shell and footing design. It is the responsibility of the General Contractor to engage in effective communication and collaboration with the aforementioned manufacturer and project design team in order to ensure the seamless integration of the hangar design into the overall construction project. C. Additionally, the Contractor is obligated to adhere strictly to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and airport guidelines throughout all phases of the construction project. Prior to the commencement of construction activities, the Contractor must ensure full compliance with FAA rules and regulations and obtain any necessary approvals or permits from the relevant authorities. Furthermore, prior to the operation of any crane on the project site, the Contractor must obtain clearance from the appropriate airport authorities and comply with all relevant safety protocols and regulations established by the FAA and the airport. Any failure to comply with these requirements may result in legal consequences and project delays, for which the Contractor shall bear full responsibility
