Renovation of a fire / police facility in North East, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 2,448-square-foot, one-story above grade fire / police facility.

The Project consists of interior renovations of the former North East Branch of the Cecil County Public Library facility. Scope of alterations work is shown on drawings and includes, but is not limited to, the following: ARCHITECTURAL: Demolition of select walls, casework, doors, frames, hardware, finishes, ceilings, signage, and associated work. Construction of walls, casework, doors, frames, hardware, finishes, ceilings, signage and associated work. MECHANICAL: Alter existing system and add new construction, keeping existing in operation. Demolition of existing grilles, registers, diffusers, and ductwork. Reconfiguration of existing grilles, registers, diffusers, and ductwork. PLUMBING: Alter existing system and add new construction, keeping existing in operation. Add new sink and associated supply, return and vent piping. ELECTRICAL POWER AND LIGHTING: Alter existing system and add new construction, keeping existing in operation. Demolish select receptacles, light fixtures, light control devices, wire, cable, and conduit. Provide new breakers, receptacles, lights, light control devices, wire, cable, and conduit. FIRE DETECTION AND ALARM: Alter existing system and add new construction, keeping existing in operation. Remove and salvage select fire detection and alarm system devices for reinstallation. Reinstall salvaged fire detection and alarm system devices. Provide new fire detection and alarm system devices to suit new fit out. VOICE/ DATA SYSTEMS: Alter existing system and add new construction, keeping existing in operation. Demolish select voice/data devices and associated cabling. Provide new voice/data devices and cabling to suit new fit out. SECURITY SYSTEM: Alter existing system and add new construction, keeping existing in operation. Remove and salvage select intrusion detection devices and cameras for reinstallation. Reinstall salvaged intrusion detection devices and cameras to suit new fit out. The amount shall not exceed six percent (6%) of the amount bid or quoted and /or sixty thousand dollars ($60,000), whichever is less. A local bidder is defined as an individual or business that maintains a place of business or maintains an inventory or merchandise and/or equipment in Cecil County, is licensed by Cecil County and/or the State of Maryland, if required, and is subject to the Cecil County real and/or personal property taxes. Any local bidder in default on payment of any town, county or state tax, or license shall not be eligible to receive preference until all taxes or licenses due are paid. There will be no questions answered prior to the pre-bid meeting. The Mayor and Commissioners of the Town of North East reserve the right to show preference to local bidders in the purchase of supplies, equipment, and services.
