Recycling and Solid Waste Division, is soliciting proposals to provide landscape maintenance services for the City of Sacramento's Meadowview City Services Complex. Scope of work includes, but is not limited to:
o mowing and edging
o weed, pest and disease control
o irrigation systems maintenance, including quarterly testing to ensure that sprinklers are only spraying plant material, not pavement; no pipe leaks are present; and no consistent standing water around the property
o approved watering techniques for landscape plants
o fertilizer application
o approved method and techniques used for pruning shrubs and trees
o turf renovation
o chemical controls
o collect trash in landscaped areas and debris control
o tree staking
o immediate reporting of vandalism and/or safety hazards to Inspector and other maintenance required to keep designated areas in a safe, attractive, and usable condition
o maintain all plant material in good condition with horticulturally acceptable growth and color

Lump Sum Contractor is to follow the standards defined in LS-20 in Attachment 9, unless specifically otherwise noted. See a map of the Meadowview City Services Complex in Attachment 8. Contractor will be required to do a monthly walk-through of the property with the contract or site manager, to ensure all aspects of agreement are being met. See the Maintenance Performance Schedule in Attachment 6 and Site Specifications for Additional Detail in Attachments 7. Contractor will be required to provide a weekly checklist of what services were provided for that week. For the purpose of this Bid, the definition of "inspector" shall include designated staff. Note: All employees assigned to this contract must take direction from the Meadowview site manager. Employees must be able to receive instructions and communicate in English. Friday service is desirable.
The current contractor is Azevedo's Landscape and Maintenance, Inc. with an Not to Exceed amount of $178,000. This contract was procured through Request for Proposalin 2019. The contract has reached the maximum 5-year limit and a new procurement solicitation is required.
