Construction Management At-Risk Services (CM/GC) CM College of Business Renovation, Georgia Southern University, Statesboro, Georgia. This project scope includes renovation and systems renewal for the approximately 89,000 GSF College of Business building on Georgia Southern's Statesboro campus. The proposed renovation scope includes targeted space reconfiguration/modification to create a modest amount of flexible study and collaboration space, classroom reconfiguration and improvements to more effectively support contemporary instruction, as well as AV equipment and furniture upgrades for instructional rooms and common areas. Building systems targeted for renewal include: airside HVAC equipment; digital upgrade of original pneumatic controls; emergency generator replacement; elevator and fire alarm upgrades; and selected building data/network infrastructure. The Design Professionals services are anticipated to commence Fall 2024. Construction documents are anticipated for completion in Summer 2025. The efficient building floor plate has very little flexible student study and collaboration space common and popular in newer instructional buildings. These targeted renovations will benefit the faculty and students of Georgia Southern's Parker College of Business by enabling more instructional load within the building, enhancing instructional flexibility and efficiency, and improving student recruitment, retention, and performance. Systems upgrades will eliminate deferred maintenance and improve facility operational performance and efficiency.
