In addition, the successful vendor must obtain an Occupational License from the City Finance and Administration Department prior to commencing work. The City of Newport will award the contract to the lowest responsible vendor. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond in the amount of 5% of the bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the bid. Potential bidders may choose to register with the City Clerk to receive notification of such addenda or corrections.
