A Pre-Bid Conference will be be held In-Person and by Teleconference June 28, 2024, at 9:00am (CST) to discuss any questions/comments to the DRAFT solicitation. All questions must be uploaded into Projnet by June 27, 2024, at 10:00 (CST). The work consists of Schedule No. 1 and nine Options. The scope of this contract is for dredging work which involves removal of shoaled material of the existing channel and the deepening construction to the prescribed authorized transition depths required of new channels. Since this deepening construction is in a portion of the channel that did not require dredging previously, this is considered new work. All material from the finished construction project templates will be dredged and placed into a designated offshore Ocean Dredged Material Disposal Site (ODMDS). Ultimate construction (authorized depth and advanced maintenance) is estimated to generate a total estimated 36.7 million Cubic Yards (CY) new work material excavated and placed into required ODMDS. There are eight ODMDS's available for placement of dredge material for this contract. It is important to note that the extension channel will be extended during this construction to equal a total of 13.2 miles in the offshore direction. This contract will always require a hopper dredge and trawler in order to dredge. Completion Time for Schedule No. 1 for this project is estimated at 659 calendar days after acknowledgement of the Notice to Proceed. Subcontracting goals for the Galveston District are: 76.0% - Small Business; 1.0% - Small Disadvantaged Business; 5.0% - Woman-Owned Small Business; 3.0% - HubZone Small Business; 17% - Veteran-Owned Small Business and 16.0% - Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business. Estimated magnitude for this effort is estimated between $100,000,000.00 and $250,000,000.00. The Method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this Time. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
