The Project consists of the following major elements: approximately 16,425 TN of asphalt paving, 11,300 TN asphalt leveling, 2,028 LF of storm pipe (15" thru 60"), 53.31 LM thermoplastic traffic striping, rumble strips, pavement markers, maintenance of traffic, erosion and sedimentation control, and all appurtenances necessary for a complete job. The successful bidder, being responsible as well as responsive, shall commence work with an adequate force and equipment on a date specified in a written order of the Project Engineer. All work on the Project must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days of the date of notice to proceed. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond in an amount of not less than five (5) percent of the amount bid. A Contract Performance Bond and Payment Bond equal to one hundred (100) percent of the contract price will be required. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled time for receiving the bids.
