PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project consists of the interior rehabilitation and miscellaneous improvements to the Pittsfield Charter Township elevated water tank off of Oak Valley Drive. The tank is located about 300 feet south of Interstate 94. Tank rehabilitation entails cleaning the interior surface of the water tank, repairing any defects, and repainting. Also included in this project are replacements of the mud valve, vent and overflow screens, ultrasonic flow meter, and pressure transducer, as well as an exterior wash. Question Deadline 07/12/2024 QUESTIONS: Any questions regarding the project shall be brought to the attention of Paul Malocha at Stantec Consulting Michigan Inc., in writing at Paul.Malocha@stantec.com. Questions by telephone calls are prohibited. Questions will not be accepted if received less than seven (7) calendar days before the bids are due. BID SECURITY: Each Proposal shall be accompanied by a cashier's check, certified check, money order or bid bond, payable to the OWNER, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the Proposal, as a Bid Security. The Bid Security of the Bidders under consideration will be returned after approval of the Contract by the OWNER. All others will be returned after the Proposal opening. CONTRACT SECURITY: The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory Performance Bond and Labor and Material Bond, each in the amount of One Hundred Percent (100%) of the Contract. DEPOSIT: 5% of bid amount. PROPOSAL WITHDRAWAL: Withdrawal of any Proposal is prohibited for a period of 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. OWNER'S RIGHTS: The OWNER reserves the right to accept any Proposal, to reject any or all Proposals, and to waive any irregularities in any Proposal, in the interest of the OWNER.
