Site work and paving for a civil project in Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
This project includes, but is not limited to, the removal of one existing concrete pipe to be replaced by a 15" concrete cross pipe, the cleaning of three existing concrete cross pipes, as well as the installation of five new 15" concrete cross pipes. Each of the nine total concrete cross pipes will require the installation of a headwall, endwall, and riprap apron. The scope of work also includes the repair of existing potholes and erosion scarring with compacted 2A crushed aggregate and the placement of driving surface aggregate (DSA) along a 3,702 feet +/- segment of Tomstown Road, as more fully described in the Contract Documents. Prevailing wage rates and record-keeping procedures established by Pennsylvania Department of Labor & Industry shall apply to the project. Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check, bank cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check or bid bond (in the required form) for ten percent (10%) of the bid total. Union Township hereby reserves the right, which is understood and agreed to by all bidders, to reject any and all bids and to waive any omissions, errors, mistakes, defects, or irregularities in any bid at its sole discretion. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing via the "Questions" feature in PennBid. Questions received less than ten (10) days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
