Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Vulcan, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; and water / sewer project.
Vulcan County requires specific maintenance and upgrades to it's Tri-Services building to ensure proper drainage and structural integrity. This RFP invites qualified contractors to submit a proposal for the following work: Re-routing of existing eavestroughs, installation of PVC pipe and heat tape for underground drainage, as well as the removal and replacement of aprox 2010 square feet of concrete including the installation of 20 feet of curb on the RCMP side of the building. Scope of Work Eavestrough Re-Routing and Underground Drainage Re-route existing eavestroughs to direct water away from building and aprons Install PVC pipes underground for eaves to drain into Integrate heat tape within the PVC pipes to prevent freezing Ensure all connections are secure and the system is capable of handling heavy rainfalls. Verify that the new drainage system complies with local building codes and regulations. Concrete Removal and Replacement Remove 2010 Square feet of Existing concrete on the RCMP side of the building. Replace the removed concrete with 2010 square feet of 8 inch thick concrete. which includes 20 feet of 12 inch curb. Ensure proper slope and drainage are integrated into the new concrete work to prevent water accumulation and facilitate runoff. Adhere to all relevant construction standards and regulations.
