Site work for a water / sewer project in Swampscott, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
As of July 29, 2024, this project has not yet been awarded. The contract will likely be awarded in the next few weeks. The work of this contract generally consists of 1,900 linear feet of cleaning and cement lining 10-inch diameter water main in Atlantic Avenue and Beach Bluff Avenue, including hydrant and gate valve replacement in Atlantic Avenue, and gate valve replacement in the intersecting streets, abandoning 650 linear feet of 6-inch main in Beach Bluff Avenue, and construction of approximately 660 linear feet of new 8-inch diameter ductile iron water main, including replacement of associated gate valves, hydrants, service connections, fittings and appurtenances in Palmer Avenue. All work except permanent pavement must be completed within 120 calendar days. The permanent pavement shall be completed after the binder course pavement has weathered one winter season, or as otherwise determined by the Engineer. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Such products will be considered when offered by the Contractor for incorporation into the work.
