Reference Number 0000356240 JATA is soliciting qualified vendors to replace the roof on our Downtown Jackson Transfer Center. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the project in compliance with JATA requirements and manufacturer recommendations. Interested contractors are encouraged to attend the pre-bid conference and site visit for accurate assessments. Anticipated Award Date: August 22nd , 2024 Question Acceptance Deadline 07/18/2024 05:00 PM EDT Questions are submitted online Yes Bonding Requirements - Bid Bond 5 % - Performance Bond 100 % - Payment Bond 50 % Remove existing metal coping from perimeter, and dispose of o Remove existing roofing from parapet walls and all curbs, and dispose of o Remove existing roofing, down to metal roof deck, and dispose of o Remove existing skylights, and skylight curbs and dispose of o Inspect metal roof deck for any damage/rust/rot, and repair/replace as necessary (provide Square Foot cost for metal deck replacement) o Coordinate with JATA project manager in regards to any existing roof penetrations that may be a candidate for removal. o Coordinate with JATA project manager, any necessary HVAC gas piping, RTU's, electrical, or conduit that may need to be altered, re-located, raised, or replaced. o Any RTU curb modifications will be by HVAC contractor - Discuss scope of work/cost with JATA o Install new Velux, Dynamic Dome skylights, with new stainless-steel curbs to satisfy manufactures recommended clearance from roof. o Install two layers of 2.6" ISO insulation, 1st layer to be loose laid, 2nd layer staggered over first layer, and fastened with screws and plates, per manufacturers specifications. o Install poly ISO insulation "crickets" between roof sumps, mechanically fastened Install 60mil EPDM, single ply membrane, fully adhered, by Johns Manville New single ply roof system to include a 15yr No Dollar Limit Warranty o Run 60mil EPDM membrane up and over parapet walls - adhered o Install new "retro-fit" drains @ all roof sumps, and flash/detail as necessary Detail/flash all roof penetrations and through wall overflow scuppers Fabricate and install new 24ga gravel stop @ perimeter (top of parapet walls) Existing roof hatch to remain o All interior protection/clean up, will be the responsibility of JATA o JATA to disable use of one side of building during roof project, to allow for material staging, equipment travel, and debris receptacles. All debris removal and loading will be limited to either the West side or East side of the building only. o Contractor will be responsible for barricading, to keep pedestrian traffic clear of work area PHASE 2 - Cedar Shake Removal & "Replacement" o Remove all cedar shakes and underlayment and dispose of o Inspect roof deck and repair/replace any bad roof decking (provide square foot cost) Install high temperature, non-granulated ice and water shield on entire roof deck Install new 24ga standing seam roof panels and all necessary trims o Standing seam roof panels to be 16" wide, with 1-1/2" rib height, installed with concealed fasteners Standing seam roof panels and trims to be by "CMG" o No soffit work will be required, unless directed otherwise by JATA Provide alternate pricing to install a "Tilcor" CF Shingle, metal shingle and all necessary trims
