Refuse Transfer Station Replacmenet Slab Work Location:14579 Industrial Park Road, Bristol, Virginia 24202 July 15, 2024, at 5:00 pm. All questions should be submitted by email no later than eight working days before the due date to mlane@thelanegroupinc.com A performance security instrument (bond or letter of credit) in the amount of 100 percent of the total bid price for materials and installation may be required of the Contractor prior to providing goods/services. The Washington County Refuse Transfer Station Slab Replacement Project consists of construction improvements to the interior and exterior concrete slabs at the transfer station located at 14579 Industrial Park Road, Bristol VA 24202 with specific work elements including; o Base Bid - Includes Demolition of existing interior slab-on-grade in its entirety and replacement with new 8-inch minimum thick steel-fiber reinforced concrete slab. The extent of this work is between column grids A and J shown on Sheet S100. Note that the interior slab is to be installed and ready for use within 14 calendar days from commencement of work. Additional, per Section 7/S300, contractor is responsible for installation of Deadman anchors prior to removal of the slab near the existing hopper retaining wall and responsible for removal and salvage of existing hopper chute per Section 3/S300. o Additive Alternate A - Includes demolition of existing exterior slab-on-grade in its entirety and replacement with new 6-inch minimum thick steel-fiber reinforced concrete slab. Slab must be placed in two phases as indicated on the plans, in order to allow for continued use of the facility. Plan Holders List not maintained.
