Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for paving for a bridge / tunnel; road / highway; and road / highway.

Kearney County, Nebraska is seeking an engineering Consultant to provide professional services for Roadway Design and Bridge Repair/Replacement projects at various sites throughout the County. In general, projects will be locally funded and the selected Consultant will be required to follow all applicable State and Local requirements and procedures. Neither grant funding nor grant administration is anticipated for projects within this request. The basic Scope of Services for typical projects is outlined in Exhibit "A" as an attachment. I. The selected Consultant will meet with the County to develop detailed work plans. The work plan consists of a detailed scope of services along with a staffing plan. The staffing plan should identify the categories of personnel whom will be working on each project. II. All submissions and work product including complete plans shall be submitted in hard copy and/or electronic format suitable for archiving. Submissions shall include, but are not limited to, design/drainage calculations, reports, environmental audits, studies, quantities/calculations, etc. Consultant will not copyright any work product and work will remain property of the County. III. Designs shall meet or exceed Nebraska Minimum Design Standards as described by Title 426, Rules and Regulations of the Board of Public Roads Classifications and Standards. IV. Typical projects could include: - Roadway resurfacing projects with Asphaltic Concrete or Portland Cement Concrete. - Roadway reconstruction projects. - Bridge repair or replacement. - Drainage studies. This Request for Proposal does not commit the County to award a contract, to pay any costs incurred in the preparation of a submittal for this request, or to procure or contract for services. The County reserves the right to modify or cancel in part or in its entirety the Request for Proposal, if it is in the best interest of the County to do so. A letter of interest not to exceed one (1) page. 2. A narrative responding to the proposed typical projects and experience with similar projects, not to exceed one (1) page. 3. A maximum of three (3) pages of additional supportive material such as charts, tables, or photos.4. A maximum of one (1) page of references with a minimum of three (3) references.
