Saving Project...

Site work for a civil project in Kasabonika, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; water / sewer project; and road / highway.

The existing water distribution system includes approximately 5,740 of 150 mm watermain installed between 1988 and 2011. Approximately 4,840 m of the existing watermain, which was installed in 1988, is thin walled 150 mm series PVC pipe that requires rehabilitation or replacement. The community has experienced several breaks and leaks in the distribution system. Repairs to this piping has been difficult. An additional 500 metres of 50 mm watermain is undersized which has caused issues in the community such as low pressure and the inability to provide fire protection in certain areas. TIMELINE: An RFP for engineering services has been issued.
