Smoke Vent Installations at Seven (7) Various Sites 1. Protection: Protect the roofing and building interior, including the stage, equipment, lighting, stage rigging, cables, and catwalk. 2. Delivery: Pick up pre-purchased smoke vents from a specified location in Milwaukee and deliver them to the site. (Location details will be provided upon arrival of vents from the manufacturer.) 3. Removal: Remove six 6'x7' smoke hatches down to the supports. Properly dispose of old vents and roofing materials off-site or in a contractor-provided dumpster. 4. Materials Provision: Provide all materials necessary to match existing structures and approved by MPS for the installation of the new smoke hatches. 5. Installation: Install and secure six pre-purchased 6'x7' Babcock Davis smoke vents according to the manufacturer's recommendations. 6. Flashing: Flash in curbs using SOPREMA SBS-Modified Bitumen Sheets per the manufacturer's guidelines. 7. Warranty: Provide a 2-year workmanship warranty covering all aspects of the roof work. The warranty shall include: o Coverage for defects in materials and workmanship. PERFORMANCE AND PAYMENT BONDS: All Quotes more than $10,000 must include the cost of a one hundred (100%) percent Performance and Payment Bond as security for the completion of all work and for the payment of all persons performing labor and furnishing materials. The successful bidder will receive the appropriate bond forms at the time of issuance of a Service Order to proceed, and the completed forms must be returned within ten (10) days of receipt. No work may proceed until the completed bond forms are returned and failure to submit the bonds will result in non-payment. COMPLETION DATE: Work on this project shall be commenced on site on July 22, 2024, or at such date thereafter as may be required by conditions or as directed by the Director of the Department of Facilities and Maintenance Services, and all work shall be completed by: July 26, 2024 The time of completion shall be STRICTLY ADHERED TO. In case of failure on the part of the Contractor to execute his work satisfactorily, the Board reserves the right to employ other means to complete the work AND In case of failure to complete the work within the time provided as stated herein the Quotation Form, MPS reserves the right to assess liquidated damages, in the amount of $100 per calendar day.
