Description: Demolition and installation of GMIA provided switch gear The following work is to be performed over Labor Day weekend without interruption through completion. The Switchgear Replacement Project encompasses a comprehensive scope of work aimed at efficiently and effectively replacing the existing switchgear system with a new one. The project initiates with the mobilization phase, ensuring all necessary permits and approvals are secured, and equipment, materials, and subcontractors are mobilized to the site, ensuring the inclusion of TBE support. Safety measures are promptly set up on-site to guarantee a secure working environment for all involved parties. Subsequently, the site is diligently prepared for the upcoming weekend shutdown, with a keen focus on ensuring all essential tools and equipment are readily available for seamless execution. A crucial aspect of the project involves coordination with WE Energies to facilitate a power shut-off and energizing, with the implementation of lockout/tagout procedures for enhanced safety during the shutdown process. Owner to supply on site generator along with proper connections and transfer switch installation. The disconnection and removal phase entail the careful disconnecting of all piping and wiring from the existing switchgear, followed by the safe removal and disposal of the outdated system. The subsequent installation of the new switchgear system necessitates precision and expertise to seamlessly integrate it in place of the old unit, ensuring that the existing piping and wiring are reinstated into the new setup. Testing and verification procedures should be rigorously conducted post-installation to ascertain the functionality and compliance of the new switchgear system. Ensure thorough testing is carried out to validate the correct operation of all systems while ensuring they meet stringent safety and performance standards. The project culminates with the system turnover phase, where final inspections are completed, and any remaining issues are promptly addressed. Additionally, the inclusion of TBE/DBE participation in compliance with the Milwaukee County Electrical Contract underscores the project's commitment to diversity and inclusivity in the bidding process.
