The Town of Huntersville (the "Town") is soliciting bids from well qualified, experienced, North Carolina State Licensed General Contractors for an all-encompassing re-plastering pool project which includes supervision, labor, material, equipment, services, and incidentals necessary to complete any individual item and the entire Contract and the carrying out of any duties and obligations imposed on Contractor by the Contract. The pool is located inside Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics ("HFFA") at 11725 Verhoeff Dr., Huntersville, NC 28078. The Project shall include, but not limited to all materials and labor for the removal of current pool plaster, various pool repairs, preparation, and application of new pool plaster. Services shall include pool drain and filling, equipment activation, and proper balancing of swimming pool water chemistry for the 50-meter, 975,000-gallon, Olympic size pool at Huntersville Family Fitness & Aquatics. PERFORMANCE BOND: The successful Bidder shall provide a performance bond equal to 100% of the contract sum, and shall conform to the Town's requirements. Bond/surety shall be provided in a form attached hereto. PAYMENT BOND: The successful Bidder shall provide a payment bond equal to 100% of the contract sum, and shall conform to the Town's requirements. Bond/surety shall be provided in a form attached hereto. The successful Bidder is required to complete the Project as outlined in the Bid. Should the successful Bidder fail to assure the completion of the total Project satisfactorily within the time period specified in the contract, the successful Bidder shall be charged with liquidated damages at a rate of Five Hundred Dollars ($500.00) per calendar day until the total Project is successfully completed. All Bidders must possess a valid North Carolina General Contractors License to do work in North Carolina as required by N.C.G.S. Chapter 87, plus any other applicable licenses.
