127EAW24R0056 - 39N30 Roadway Reconditioning Klamath National Forest Work will include 1.5 miles of roadway reconditioning, installation of drainage dips, and the surfacing of 0.75 miles of road with a 6.0-inch Aggregate Surface Course. 2.0 Background The 39N30, also known as the Godfrey Ranch Road, is planned to be used for access to timber and fuels project located within the Bear Country project area. Additionally, the road provides access to a section of private (The Godfrey Ranch). The first 1.5 miles of road coming up from the county road(1C02) and the South Fork of the Salmon has seen significant wear and/or water damage and is in need of maintenance to bring the road back to the standards of a low volume forest road. 3.0 Location The project area is located on the Salmon Scott Ranger District of the Klamath National Forest. From the Salmon Scott district office located in fort jones head south on ca-3 south for 11 miles, then continue straight onto collier way. Continue straight for 0.5 miles and then turn right onto Main street/Sawyers Bar road(1C01). Continue straight for 39.4 miles. Once in forks of salmon turn left onto the Cecilville - Callahan Road and continue straight for 5.0 miles to arrive at the start of the 39N30 road (Godfrey ranch road).
