Cherokee and Main Water Main Rebid Project Description: The Project includesthe following Work: The replacement and improvement of existing water main, water services, and storm sewers on Cherokee Drive and West Main Street. The project also includes street resurfacing, miscellaneous concrete repairs, and sign post replacement. BID SECURITY A Bid must be accompanied by Bid security made payable to Owner in an amount of 10 percent of Bidder's maximum Bid price (determined by adding the base bid and all alternates) and in the form of a certified check, bank money order, letter of credit on a solvent bank, or a Bid bond issued by a surety meeting the requirements of Paragraph 6.01 of the General Conditions. A suggested Bid bond form is included in the Bidding Documents. BID GUARANTY In accordance with Ohio Rev. Code 153.54, the Prime Contractor shall file with the bid a bid guaranty in the form of either: 1) a bond for the full amount of the bid, or 2) a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit equal to 10% of the bid. Goals As a condition of receiving capitalization grantsfrom U.S. EPA, the Ohio EPA negotiates "fair share" Disadvantaged Business Enterprises(DBE) objectives with U.S. EPA.
