The work includes but is not limited to: installing a soldier pile wall in cast-in-drilled-holes (CIDH) using W12x35 steel beams at a depth of 25 feet. The wall features 4 inch by 12 inch pressure treated wood lagging, spanning 42 feet long and 7 feet high. The project also consists of a subdrain system behind the proposed retaining wall. All work items shall be constructed in accordance with the contract plans and specifications. Bidding Documents contain the full description of the Work. Cash, cashier's check or certified check, payable to the order of the City of San Bruno, of not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid, or a bond in said amount payable to the City of San Bruno and signed by the Bidder and a corporate surety shall accompany the bid. A California Class "A" contractor's license is required to bid on this contract. Joint ventures must secure a joint venture license prior to award of this Contract. Failure to comply with these requirements shall result in liquidated damages in the amount of $250 per Calendar Day. Failure to comply with these requirements shall result in liquidated damages in the amount of $500 per Calendar Day. All work under this contract shall be completed within 45 Working days from the Notice to Proceed date. The City shall assess liquidated damages in the amount of $500 per Working day for delays in completion of the project, as provided in the Contract Documents.
