Traffic Control Services The City of Danville is soliciting bids from qualified firms to provide on-call, as needed temporary traffic control services for various City of Danville projects in accordance with the specifications contained herein. The contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, fuel, transportation (mobilization), tools, parts, supplies, incidentals, and equipment including, but not limited to: arrow boards, crash cushions, changeable message signs, signs, and sign stands, as necessary to perform temporary traffic control services. Service includes but is not limited to lane closures, or shoulder closures, used in conjunction with work performed by various City crews or other City contractors in response to emergencies or incidents on an as-needed basis. Work shall be performed following Virginia Department of Transportation standards and specifications as well as the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual and the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Device Standards. All equipment shall meet Occupational Safety & Health Administration and Virginia Occupational Safety & Health Program standards. Additionally, the Contractor shall remain in compliance withal OSHA and VOSH personnel, equipment, and safety regulations. The contract period shall be for one year with the option to renew for four (4) - one-year periods if agreed upon between the City and the Contractor. Price increases for each renewal must be approved in advance and not to exceed 3% of the previous year pricing.
