The range of services includes, but is not limited to: The purpose of this document is to solicit qualifications from professional engineering consultants to make an in-person assessment of the unpaved and rural road conditions in Valdez, Alaska and provide recommendations regarding repairs, upgrades, and future maintenance. Engineers estimates for each road and recommendation as well as recommended phasing will be the final deliverable for this phase of work. Questions must be submitted via email by July 9, 2024, at 4:00pm to Austin Rake, Project Manager , at Austin Rake The full request for qualification document may be downloaded from the links below. The City reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in a quote, to reject any and all quotes without cause, and to re-solicit for quotes. Current minimum prevailing wage rates as published by the Alaska Department of Labor must be paid if required by law. Requirements of the Alaska Employment Preference (AS 36.10) must be met. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
